Maria I. Arreola (she/her) is an emerging Chicana playwright podcaster from the suburbs of Illinois. She is a Casting Associate at PlayGround-Chicago, the former Peter F. Sloss Artistic Fellow at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and a 24 Hour Plays Nationals alum. She writes plays that make her laugh and hopes they’ll make others laugh as well, comedies centered around Latiné teens and young adults. Her work has been developed by Curious Theatre, Definition Theatre, Pocket Theatre VR, and Chicago Dramatists.
